Most photo digitizing services ask you to box up your irreplaceable originals and mail them to a warehouse across the country. Photal Recall works differently. I pick up your photos in Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Solon, Mount Vernon, West Branch, or anywhere else in the area — and I return them to you personally.
You deal directly with the owner. Your photos never leave the region. And if you have questions, you call or text and I pick up.

Step 1 — Reach out. Call, text, or email. If you want a rough estimate right away, text a photo of your box or albums and I’ll give you a ballpark based on what I see.
Step 2 — I pick up from you. We coordinate a convenient time. I come to your home — Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, or anywhere nearby. Your photos never get mailed anywhere.
Step 3 — Scanning and enhancement. Each photo is scanned at high resolution. If you chose the Enhanced option, AI-assisted correction is applied to every photo for color, contrast, and brightness. You receive both versions.
Step 4 — Delivered back to you. Your originals come back safe and sound, along with organized digital files on an engraved flash drive in a keepsake tin. Most projects are completed within 1–2 weeks.

Standard photos are scanned at 600 dpi — archival quality that captures full detail and is suitable for reprinting. Oversized or damaged photos may be handled differently; just ask.
Standard captures the photo exactly as it is today — the true archival record. Enhanced adds AI-assisted correction for color, contrast, and brightness on faded or aged photos. You receive both versions with the Enhanced option.
